DIAGNOSTIC SURGERY

DIAGNOSTIC SURGERY

Diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy essentially combines hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, both diagnostic techniques, for the diagnosis of pathologies related to the female reproductive organs. In fact, this is an extremely minimal technique in which both the interior of the uterus and the abdominal cavity are viewed at once through tiny cuts. Essentially, a hysteroscope will be introduced through the vagina to evaluate the uterine cavity, while a laparoscope is introduced through some small abdominal cuts to project the outside reproductive organs. This approach is good for diagnosing or assessing disorders such as fibroids, endometriosis, and uterine anomalies. Diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy leads to an exact diagnosis and therefore helps in deciding upon the line of treatment to a great extent, at the same time reducing the time of recuperation and discomfort.
