TCRE is a minimally invasive process for the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, mostly caused by conditions like endometrial hyperplasia or chronic bleeding disorders. In the TCRE technique, a hysteroscope is introduced via the cervix into the uterus, following which the lining of the endometrium is ablated using specialized instruments. This technique reduces heavy menstrual bleeding, improves the quality of life, and is sometimes an alternative to hysterectomy. The procedure is almost always performed on an outpatient basis, is accompanied by minimal recovery time, and has fewer complications in comparison to more invasive surgeries. Amongst a great number of women, TCRE gives symptom alleviation and can return normal menses.
